Sea Horse

Opportunities to learn are abundant in the preschool environment. Puzzles, books, music, art, dance, blocks, and dramatic play offer children invitations to learn. Daily lessons and routines bring structure to their lives. Social friendships grow strong and encourage respect of others. Preschoolers are inquisitive young individuals who are independent and full of life. Potty training is provided when your child begins to show signs of readiness.

Sea Star

3 1/2 Years - 4 1/2 Years

While offering a low ratio, your child has a strong opportunity to learn with a Teacher who can offer various experiences in our Sea Horse and Sea Star programs.

Creative Art

Children learn and develop creativity through various mediums. The children are encouraged to explore in a hands on environment where the process is the focus rather than the finished product.

Science

Science is the exploration and discovery of all living and non-living things. The children are encouraged to ask "why" as this will inspire them to learn and discover new and exciting worlds on their own. Plants, animals, the environment, and even space are among the areas in which we will explore.

Math

Math helps children learn to be better thinkers, estimators, and problem solvers. Children gain math skills when they use various manipulatives to sort, count, measure, weigh, graph, and match. Learning these skills develops spatial awareness.

Music & Movement

When children move their bodies they become alert and attentive. Adding song, musical instruments, dance, and fingerplays invites the children to develop rhythm, memorization and creative expression.

Language Arts

Communication and listening skills are an important beginning in Language Arts and we focus on these skills in many imaginative ways. The children learn through story time, class discussion, puppets, and dramatic play.
