Q: How long have you been in business?
A: Beach Babies, LLC opened in 1991 as a small home daycare in Manhattan Beach. As our reputation grew, so did our centers. Today, Beach Babies, LLC has grown into three centers welcoming over 340 families everyday. We recently opened our El Segundo facility in September 2008.
Q: What ages do you accept?
A: Beach Babies welcomes children from 6 weeks old to 6 years old.
Q: What is your caregiver to child ratio?
A: Beach Babies takes pride in having the lowest caregiver to child rations in our community. Our low ratios allow us to give individual attention and love to all of our children and provides a stress-free environment for our wonderful caregivers.

Q: What are your requirements for Teachers?
A: All of our caregivers go through a very thorough background check before they begin our training process. The State of California completes a Criminal History Background Check, FBI Clearance, and a Child Abuse Screening. Once fully cleared, our new staff members begin our ectensive training process in which they work under they direct guidance of a Head Teacher.
From diaper changing to food preparation, our new staff learn every aspect of their classroom. During this time, they are also learning the individual needs of each child, such as how each baby likes to be put to sleep or how warm they like their bottles. Once fully trained, our new staff are ready to join their classroom.
Our Teachers are also required to have taken Child Development classes and have six months experience. This is only the minimum that is required. You will find that many of our Teachers have their Bachelor's or Master's Degrees in Child Development, many years of experience, and a strong passion for caring for our children.
Q: Do you provide potty training?
A: Beach Babies, LLC provides potty training for children who show signs of readiness, regardless of age. Our teachers work hand-in-hand with parents to guide them through the potty training process at Beach Babies and at home. With teachers and parents working together, our children are much more successful at becoming potty trained. All of this is provided to our families at no additional cost.
Q: When can I check out the facility?
A: We gladly welcome you to come in and take a look at what we have to offer! We are open Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm. If you would like to tour one of our facilities, we encourage you to call ahead and schedule an appointment at the locations you would like to tour.
